The 9 Consultants; Principal Partner / Sales & Marketing Consultant
Founder of a consulting firm that provided small business owners with consulting services in the areas of sales, marketing, human resources, grant writing, legal, accounting, business planning, government contracting and financing. Duties included;

  • Developed business model and wrote business plan for the company.
  • Located and recruited the core group who made up The 9 Consultants.
  • Facilitated all meetings, events and seminars for the company.

Summary of Accomplishments, Direct Sales & Marketing

Mini Yellow Auto Book. Start-up firm that invented a phone book for the car that contains only auto-related information. List of accomplishments include:

  • Working with zero dollars as a marketing budget, successfully sold advertising the first three years using only face-to-face sales presentations.
  • Located, recruited and trained four outside sales agents in a two-year period.
  • Developed all marketing materials and sales literature for the company.
  • Bottom Line, Mini Yellow Auto Book went from zero advertising clients to more than 100 in a two-year period based primarily on my outside sales activities.

Spray On Bedliners. This is a 9-year-old company with five locations in Northern California. They provide spray on bedliners to new and used truck beds. More than 80% of their business is with auto dealerships that sell new and used trucks. List of accomplishments include:

  • Developed an organized system that allowed for significant sales coverage of all auto dealerships at all five Spray On Bedliner locations. This resulted in a 30% overall increase in sales in the first 12 months.
  • Successfully developed new business relationships with 50 auto dealerships, truck accessories companies and auto body shops in a three-year period.
  • Bottom Line, Spray on Bedliners now has seven locations and my work as their outside sales professional is a big part of their continued growth and success.

Egrabber Software. Egrabber Software produces desktop software that works with most CRM software applications. The company uses telemarketers to sell the software to mid-market firms. Hired to implement a marketing and sales strategy geared towards Professionals & Small Business Owners, my list of accomplishments include:

  • Conducted all research and developed marketing strategies to target Home-Based Businesses, Micro Businesses, Franchises and Independent Sales Professionals.
  • Conducted weekly webinars and video sales presentations with a success rate of 25%. Prospects usually purchased immediately after the presentation.
  • Attended business mixers, networking events and industry specific trade shows to generate new leads.
  • Utilized company software to implement email marketing campaign that reached 1,000 new prospects weekly.
  • Developed a marketing strategy and budget that produced on average $5,000 in revenue for every $1,000 invested.
  • Bottom Line, Egrabber Software successfully begin penetrating the small business marketplace based on the marketing plan and sales strategy I developed.

Team Success / AB Workshops. Nonprofit organization that provides at-risk youth with educational, motivating and comprehensive workshops that focus on life skills, entrepreneurship and employment. List of accomplishments include:

  • Successfully developed five niche markets that include middle schools, high schools, group homes, non-profit youth organizations and youth detention centers.
  • Starting with zero donors and volunteers, secured 30 major donors and more than 200 volunteers.
  • Bottom line, AB Workshops developed into a thriving nonprofit servicing loyal clients and employing multiple trainers based on my fundraising and recruiting success.

Colors of Commitment. Start-up nonprofit organization that created a multi-colored wristband that represents volunteerism and diversity. List of accomplishments include:

  • Working with zero dollars as a marketing budget, successfully created Mission Statement, Objectives, Fundraising & Sales Strategy.
  • Conducted sales & fundraising meetings with corporations, federal, county and city officials. Also, conducted sales meetings with other nonprofit organizations.
  • Developed all marketing materials and sales literature for the company.
  • Bottom Line, Colors of Commitment has sold more than 5,000 wristbands with little to no marketing dollars being spent.

Girl, Yes You Can!. This is a 2-year-old nonprofit located in Sacramento. They provide a host of services to women dealing with or just leaving an abusive relationship or divorce. Invited to become a Board Member in January 2009, my list of accomplishments include:

  • Developed marketing materials, business plan and fundraising plan.
  • Provided direct assistance in two major fundraising events.
